Nurture the wider ecosystem
Through Shikshagraha we weave a network of civil society organisations, amplifying school improvement with shared resources and collective action.
Partner with us to build stronger public education systems that empower educators, improve learning, and create lasting change for millions of children.
Shikshagraha is that coming together — a nationwide movement of teachers, parents, youth and citizens acting on a shared belief. Mantra4Change anchors it.
Since it began, the movement has grown into a coalition working across 16 states and 47 districts, logging more than 1.37 million small improvements inside schools. Every contribution adds up once enough people decide a school is their responsibility too.
Shikshagraha is supported by a network of leaders working across education systems, civil society and communities. Lasting change in public education happens only when society, government, markets and media move together — and Mantra4Change helps anchor that movement.
India educates more children in government schools than most countries have people. Access is no longer the binding constraint — learning is.
Many children are still unable to read at grade level or do basic arithmetic. The task is no longer getting children into school — it is making sure they learn once they are there. Reflecting the findings of ASER 2024
When families, teachers and village leaders sit in the same room, a school stops being someone else’s responsibility.
Parents’ InvolvementRather than working around the system, we work with it — so improvement continues long after our direct involvement ends.

Education leaders learn to identify challenges, make data-informed decisions and drive contextually relevant solutions of their own.
Across six states we design context-specific programmes that respond to local need and strengthen the capacity of teachers and school leaders.
Our journey began with a single school in 2013 and has grown into work that strengthens public education systems across India.
